Smallmouth Bass (a more warm water tolerant species) take over in the summer months. Although Smallmouth Bass can be found throughout the Androscoggin River, they are more prevalent in the lower section.

Trout (Brown, Brook, Rainbow) are found throughout the river in the spring and fall.

Our Maine Guides can design a multitude of fishing experiences to fit your needs. Fly fishing or spin casting; drift boat, canoes, or wading; full day or half day; river, lake, or pond. Call us and we will work with you to design your trip.

The Upper Androscoggin River is the perfect location for fishing in Western Maine.

"Talk about beautiful mountains, trees and fishing! We went from Gilead to Bethel. Bethel Outdoor Adventures is the place to go. Jeff and Pattie are so nice. Two years and 5 times! We caught 28 trout this year on two trips...not to mention saw bald eagles too. My kids love it!"

"The Androscoggin is the Best Kept Fishing Secret in Maine. A real gem of a river!"
